§ Description TotallyPhotos.com is a royalty-free creative photography site that sells digital photographs (like gettyimages or istockphoto). A very large project with lot of features for designers (buyers) and photographers (sellers) and a fully loaded administrative interface. The core of the project is the Thesaurus powered controlled-vocabulary text based image indexing and searching engine. The general and advanced search engines support spelling suggestions, ambiguity clarification and inheritance of keywords from the vocabulary tree. The project also has a number of on-the-fly image creation features. Implemented to be hosted in a multiple server environment in future – uses secured communication protocols between the main, storage, and download servers.

§ Description AG Bell Association for Deaf & Hard of Hearing, USA has its web site hosted at Connecticut. The Washington DC office uses Raiser’s Edge 7.0 (made by www.blackbaud.com) on its intranet. Members and Donors sign up through the web site, as well as added by staff into the RE7 database. The aim of the project is to integrate the information in both the web database and RE7 database in near real-time fashion, without requiring any manual import/export, so that both the databases have same membership information.

§ Description This is a web site of consortium of US and Israel science and technology foundation bringing together entrepreneurs from both countries for promoting collaborative businesses and transfer of know-how in fields of science, technology, agriculture and bio-technology. The web site has a complex hierarchy of users with configurable permission levels for each user. Starting at the Super Administrator, the user hierarchy roots down to individual scientists/entrepreneurs, each level getting defined permissions from its parent level. It also includes a multi-party chat interface to enable online discussion between entrepreneurs from both countries. Other features include an event calendar, several email notifications for member users, newsletter circulation, news etc.

The group portal allows other departments to submit their requirements online and enables the storage engineers to decide the best possible hardware/software to satisfy the needs.

§ Description HuntFord Inc is a leading stationary printing company with very large client base. This project involved upgrading the existing static web site of HuntFord Inc to a dynamic database driven web site. Clients can log in and choose different stationary to order for printing. Each client has a different layout & design for envelopes, letterheads and business cards. To order, they can choose type of stationary, fill in the values to be printed and see a full preview of the item before placing the order. The preview can be zoomed in or out and panned in all directions. HuntFord processes the orders through the Admin interface of the web site. Customers can track orders online. The Admin interface also allows putting in new designs and layouts for any client.

Sellers can post their real-estate property such as homes, condos, apartments, land, mobile homes etc for sale. They can appoint an agent belonging to that area. Agents are separately registered on the web site paying a fee. Every agent can maintain his own buyers’ database. Scheduling site visits, processing buy offers, sending statutory legal forms to buyer and seller, processing the buying/selling process can be done easily on the web site. The Administrator has complete control over all transactions through the web site. In addition, the web site also has rental section for letting out residential homes, condos, land, commercial spaces etc..

The group portal allows other departments to submit their requirements online and enables the engineers to decide the best possible hardware to satisfy the needs. Each server installation is treated as a project and the portal allows the group Manager to assign tasks, keep track of progress, costs and times. In addition, there is client satisfaction survey, which enables the client departments taking service of the unix-engineering group to express their level of satisfaction. The group Manager uses the results of surveys to evaluate performance of the engineering teams.

The web site has a fully functional administrative interface controlling display of all information on the web site. For events, classifieds, jobs, photographs etc. the admin approves them for display on the web site. Current weather in Fremont City is displayed on the home page and also recorded in database. Every section has its own search function.

The site is designed such that one can place an order with minimum number of page movements and come out.
